The specs of the cams are usally not given out to the public but if you dig around i'm sure they can be found. I don't know if they will pass emissions though. Maybe the le1 packages.

If you need to pass emissions tests talk to lloyd about it and he will have bret bauer grind the cam differently to allow for emissions its basically the same cam maybe lose like 10 hp

I passed with a 230/236 112LSA comp cam and Lloyds heads. Don't know what stage head they are as it was before the stages, but I said give me the works. I passed at a test only station as well. It was on the roller dyno since I have a 96 OBD-2 Z-28. If you need any more info let me know. No tricks were used either the car passed flawlessly. All emmissions components were hooked up as well as shorty headers.

what specs are lt4 hotcam? and what specs do u need to pass like in MA? do you think a average redneck gas station inspection place would fail u if u had le2 cam since its too big? but wont they be too stupid to recognize?and is it easier to pass witha bigger cam if u have obd2 or obd1? like i have a 95 i think it comes with obd1 right if i got converted to obd2 would it be any easier to pass with bigger cam?
thanks

I'm not an emissions expert but as far as I can tell California has the new SMOG2 which I thought would be a pain to pass but it was no problem. If all the emissions equipment is working and your on the dyno(SMOG2 requirement, I guess I should say rollers not dyno) then you should be able to pass with a somewhat large cam. I consider my cam somewhat large nothing crazy though. A hotcam should pass easily as well, its smaller then my cam. I have a feeling I can go a little bigger and still pass not sure what the limit is before I would fail. I want to try the LE3 and see if that passes SMOG2, but have no time for the car lately.
