Hey yall, i was wonderin how much those of you that have put C5 brakes on your Camaros paid for them. Just the front, and also if anyone did the Z06 brakes how much you paid for those as well. Im looking for how much everything cost, brakets etc. Thanks.

I was unaware the red C5 calipers on the Z06 cost more. Either way the C5 and Z06's brakes are the same. With the brackets from Bob Bishop I already have, the conversion itself should cost about $700 total. My Z06 rims were $800 shipped, so the whole deal is goin to be around $2k total with tires. Of course it will be way less if you have rims that already fit the brakes.

The differance in the ZO6 brakes and the regular C5 brakes is i believe in the material of the pad. Im pretty sure that the Z06 has ceramic pads, which is why they cost more, other then that they are the same. Thanks for the help.

The above post is correct, there is no difference in parts between standard C5 and Z06 brakes. The red calipers are the same price as the grey. The pad is the only difference.

I used to sell the brakes through my old company Nashville Speed. No longer in business but if you want the adapter brackets and then source your own parts you should contact Bob Bishop at Lateapex@charter.net and tell him I sent you.

The complete kit ran about $700 cost to me, so that's what you can expect to pay to build your own kit based on Bob's adapters.

I purchased my brakes over a year and a half ago. The ZO6 calipers were actually about a dollar cheaper per caliper than the standard ones. The only difference was the color of the powdercoating. I have about $725 in my set-up with all new parts. That figure also included me having the brackets powdercoated and the rotors and abutment brackets sprayed with "black ice." So far, it has been the best money I've spent on my car to date.

I did the ZO6 brakes on mine and I think I was around $700. I bought my brake adapters from Chris (see above) at Nashville Speed (I wish he could have stayed open, he was fantastic to work with).

I love them. The red calipers look really good with the black car. I hooked up with the Corvette Skyline Drive guys and they even liked them.

But these brakes are what the car SHOULD have come with. Heck if I did the LTCC conversion and did the heads, cam, the car is basically identical to an LS1 car.
