A/C fuse buster

A/C fuse buster
Seems like everytime I turn on my A/C it pops a fuse which in turn, knocks my cruise control out as well. After I turn on the A/C and the fuse pops, air still comes through the vents. It's just not cold air. Any ideas on what it might be? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
