It's easy...just remove everything and install the pulley. If you want to remove the evaporator core and airbox though, that's far more involved and requires removal of the dash. You won't set any codes if I remember right...

It's a weight issue, not a HP issue. When the AC is off the condenser is just an idler pulley. But when the AC is ON of course it robs HP, and more notably, system voltage.

That's what I figured, I think I'll keep the A/C for now, but if it was a strip car I'll consider it..

There is also the benefit of less resricted air flow thru the radiator-

It will set a code in your PCM, but it won't set off the SES light.

Re: a/c delete walkthrough please

I'm just doing it too clean up the engine bay alittle bit, and getting rid of the weight is a plus. It's going to make it easier too when i go to have my headers installed. plus i'm bored it will make a quick winter project. I can't wait till this spring though, my car is going to be a beast after it comes out of the shop. I'm still saving up for a few things but this is what its going to have. LE1 cam and head package, i don't know exactly what cam yet. 3.73's most likely from gm cause i heard richmond and the other brands whine. my hooker super comp headers, ford redtop injectors, 3inch x pipe, 2 magnaflow cats, 2 flowmaster 10 series all the way to the bumper. egr air pump delete, pcmforless tune. new plugs, wires, optispark. thats about it. i already have a 2800 stall and a trans go hd2 shiftkit.

You can prevent the code pretty easy

With a simple voltage divider, you can prevent the code. Just put 2.5 volts on pin 12 of the Blue PCM connector with the red/black wire.
