Ok so im pretty sure im going to buy my friends car and I am going to inspect it first before I make an offer.

The guy is one of my best friends and he really isnt into speed. His dad is moving to Africa and giving him his Caddy, so my friend could care less what it sells for and it is all up to the dad.

The car is a Black 95 Formula 6-speed T-Top with 104k miles; the car is bone stock. It has basic options (windows, locks, cloth, cruise). The guy will be honest with me, so I know he wont lie to me if I ask him any questions. The only problem that I know of is a dent in the hood that cost $500 to fix.

Im wondering what I should check for when buying this car before I make my first offer. The things I could think of are...... idle, power, paint quality, leaky t-tops, breaks, rotor warpage, SES light, if cruise works, tire tread, rich smell, radio.....

I am also gonna ask him what has ever been replaced like plugs, wires, opti, o2's, oil used, diff fluid, tranny fluid, clutch, breaks, and other maintenence.

Any things I missed?
