Buying a 137,000 mile LT1
The time has come. Shipping is $200
(Cali to NC) so it'll be $600 shipped. Engine, ecm, harness, tb, fuel rails, etc. It's got 137,000 on it and no opti. Is this a deal? The guy seems trust worthy but buying a motor from across the country scares me a bit. Thanks

As long as the motor is in good shape internally $400 doesn't sound like to bad a price for a complete LT1 engine minus an opti. Especially considering people pay $200 or more for a bare LT1 block alone. Lots of people get well over 100k and even into 200k+ out of their stock bottom end LT1's, sounds like a pretty good deal to me, good luck with it!

I, personally, would shy away from a block that I couldn't inspect ( or have inspected ) first hand. If everything is on the up and up, you are one lucky SOB and good luck with it!
