But how do you fix it?

Yesterday,I did the bypass mod on the throttle body. About 2 cups of coolant was lost into a bath towel during the work (which partly emptied onto the front of the engine). When I was done, the engine fired right up, so I shut it off for the night. This evening,I fired it up and headed down the road. I got a half mile from home when it suddenly turned off. So, I had it towed home, and it was backed right into the garage where it just was. I have tried to start it several times tonight, but not even a pop. I have always known this could happen, and have read about other's similar ordeals. But , I have not yet read anything as to what to do next.
So , how have you guys resolved the wet ignition situation? Last night, I wiped dry the spillage and all seemed well. What are the usual remedies?
Can I just wait it out? Where has the antifreeze gone to cause this? I have had my opti apart before, and it really didn't look like liquids have a way in.

Your problem could be totally unrelated to the bypass. Unless you try to diagnose it, you won't know what you are dealing with.

Opti yes or no

You're correct , diagnosing the problem will have to be done first. The car's a 92k mile 1995,and it hasn't done this before.I'm at work now,and after the tow home last night, there wasn't enough time to have a look. I'm reacting to what seems like the obvious, even though it is very possibly something else.Between now and Sunday evening I expect to have found and resolved the ignition problem. But,having read so many posts about coolant shuting down the opti,it would be good to know the usual areas of electrical shorts caused by antifreeze.
