Angry Burnt another wire

I went to start up the car today and it started missing. Well aparently a wire on the passanger side got to close to the belt and took a beaten. They where fine for a about 5 months. Is it better to take the alternator off and run them behind it to avoid the belts. Or is there any other way to do this. Also I might try the OVC wires again even though last time I messed them up and could not use them. Any input, instructions would be appreciated. And yes I have hooker longtubes.

Mine previous setup inluded special wire hanger for 4 wires to sit tight in place near the belt. In process of installing 11mm thundervolts I had a hard time removing this hanger & even after this 4x11mm wires didn't fit there without touching belt. So I route two wires there (2 and 4 cyl) and 2 wires (6 and 8) over valve cover and then to another way to opti through a some free space on other side of alternator. Not a brilliant setup, but it's working fine.
