BULLET (Dynomax) Is it worth it?
BULLET Exhaust Dynomax (Yes or No)
Hey guys I have a 1993 lt1 formula firebird, No mods all stock. Is theBullet exhaust made from dynomax worth putting on with the stoke manifolds or is it better to wait till I put a set of headers on. does anyone know how it sounds cause ls1sounds.com has it but with set ups with headers. I'm not sure how it sounds stock.

if you're talking about getting rid of the stock muffler and adding a dynomax bullet muffler on each side, then yes, it should work fine. Bullet mufflers don't do as much in actually making the car quieter though....they kinda just change the exhaust tone. If you like loud, go right ahead!

Tair,
thanxs for the tip, I've been in and out of all the different sounds on ls1sounds.com and I'm starting to lean towards the GMMG Chambered exhaust. It's $700.00 including shipping in the u.s and from the sounds I've been getting through media player I only hope it sounds just as good on my formula.
1993 formula firebird, all stock, no mods, changing opti plugs and wires as we speak.

when shopping for exhausts remember , no matter what muffler you put out back, unless you change the piping that is the restriction you will gain nothing but tone and noise. I would suggest a good 3 inch cat-back.
Re: BULLET (Dynomax) Is it worth it?
WOW that's a big jump....lol. If I knew right off the bat that you could afford the GMMG by all means get that instead! MUCH better choice than the dynomax's IMO.
Re: BULLET (Dynomax) Is it worth it?
Yeah I figured since I'm dumping money into it why not do it right. As far as the cat back it is a 3" to a set of 2 3/4" tips so from what i read at the gmmg website it should fit just right on my car. Now should I put a high flow cat on or just any run of the mill cat?

I had a set of flows on my 67 mustang and I wasn't really too impressed. No offense to your 3" cutouts but I' want to stick to something thats specifically made for f-body's..

Re: BULLET (Dynomax) Is it worth it?
Any suggestions on a good cat cause Chester county, PA requires one for emmissions.
I had the stock one then right after I got my sticker I sawed it off but now I lost a good bit of backpressure and it does run doggish. But like I said the opti went bad so I'm replacing that and the plugs and wires so hopefully all together I'll get the HP back that I used to have..
