building bottom end...

Has anoyne else with no experience building a bottom end just done it like I plan to do? I have the book for tq specs, and a used 4bolt main(splayed) block clearanced for the conn. rods, 4340 eagle crank, H-beam rods, wiseco flat top pistons. I am thinking of re-using the nitrous rings that the guy I bought it off had on there as well. I really have a lot of questions, but if anyone has a hwo-to on how to build a bottom end (mainly the order of building it and what to check and when is what I need to know).
I have a garage w/ engine stand and all the tools I will need. The rotating assembly was re-polished, re-honed the conn rods for the crank, re-honed the block. They took the rings off the pistons, and I know you need to have the right size ring in the right slot. Does anyone have a diagram of which ring goes where? what about the tq specs on aftermarket main caps? same as stock? anyone have any real sticking points?

thanks for the help again

Re: building bottom end...

The best thing to do for a first timer is to get a manual for rebuilds and read it intently front to back. Then watch a few people do it.

A clean and organized workspace goes a long way. I rebuilt my first motor with my uncle watching me years ago and after I did it I was really surprised how easy it was.

Dont be afraid to ditch a questionable part. Measure and doublecheck everything critical.

Ya gotta learn sometime. Take your time and measure everything(don't trust any shop) read your manual and assemble away and DON'T leave any bolts/nuts loose.
