Build your own Y pipe??

Where do i get all the parts to build my own Y pipe?? I have a freind who can weld could i really save myself any money??

Honestly i would check the local exhaust shop that does custom work...more important than the welding IMO is the bends you'll have to do because you'll more than likely get straight pieces of pipe...good luck with that...

Summit has a bolt up X pipe kit for 100 bucks.. 2.5 inch and 3 inch.. H pipes too I think..

Not worth it. Just buy one already done. It will more than likely come out a whole lot better anyway. Like guywithaZ said, the bends are the most important part. You COULD buy just some pipe and bends from summit or jegs or something, but like I said, the time, effort, and money after you buy the parts just wouldnt be worth it. You'll prolly be lookin at $100 alone in mendral bends and pipe.

OK well I have a hooker Y pipe for sale for 100 bucks too.. lol.. 3" if your interested.. Switching to an X pipe. Its in great shape too..
