Budget LE heads?

Can anyone tell me what kind of power these heads will put out compared to the LE1s?

I want to get around 400whp. I was looking at a bigger cam (CC306 or Gm847) and these heads or the LE1 heads. Will they make THAT much of a difference? I know it's only $100 dollars, but it's also only a few HP for $100.

I'm not going to do this for quite a while, and not before I basically have as many bolt ons as you can before doing it.

Is it possible to get to $400? This is in an A4 also.

It does, except for the budget heads.

Based on his packages for the LE1 and LE2, and going by the flow rates, I would say the budget LE1 heads are rated around 355 to 365 rwhp granted you get the supporting mods. I may be off, but i'd think that is a "safe" estimate. Personally I'd try to bite the bullet and just shell out the extra $100 so you know you are getting the most out of your heads with the stock valves.

I'd say "safe" is right. A lot of guys are pulling 370rwhp with cam only cars.

Could you post some up? I must be doing something wrong. Are you talking LT1's?

its pretty tough to get 370 cam only. cars that have done it probably have no bottom end power whatsoever.

dont forget your not only looking for peak power but good tq and power across the board, i would highly recomend spending the couple extra bucks on at least the le1 if not the le2 and if you dont have to worry about emissions a le2 cam, but i must say lloyd is great about answering questions as stupid as they can be at times, so just call him and talk to him about what you want out of the car, dont rely on biased opinions from people on the interweb
