Buck at idle

My LT1 has started a slight buck at idle, it feels almost like a missfire. It does it mostly when it is in gear, with the A/C on. I'll notice it, and the tach will drop from around 600 to about 450-500 for a second or less, then bounce back up to 600. No misses under load, and no hesitation to really make note of (need to change plugs and wires soon). Any ideas?

Re: Buck at idle

Your situation could be entirely different than mine, but when I had a slight idle problem I found my Positive battery terminal and some dirty injectors to be the fault. Might try cleaning up any corrosion you may see and maybe a bottle of injector cleaner. Thats what I was told to do, and it fixed my problem.

I had a simular problem with my mine and it was because my rocker arms are loose. Can you hear any noises under the hood?

Re: Buck at idle

Ryan's LT1: Dirty injector could be the problem, I just seafoamed the engine, and used some in the fuel tank. Who knows what I stirred up doing that. Any ideas on how to fix?

Formula03: I heard something under the hood once, but it sounded more like the A/C was cycling on and off. It was a noticible click that I heard once every five seconds or so. I got the same fluxuation in the RPM's that time too. Odd thing was it sounded like it was coming from the driver side of the motor.

I can't hear anything that I would call valvetrain noise at this point, but tomorrow I'll stick a screwdriver up to the valve cover and see if I can hear anything.

I think if you seafoamed the gas tank than you probably got the injectors pretty clean or could have got something in them. I would suggest maybe trying the seafoam again, since thats the most hardcore cleaner.
