Broke a header bolt...

Ok so when i was installing my Jet-hot LT's i ran into a minor set back. I broke the last header bolt off. I have all the tools to get it out. Should i pull the whole motor and get it? or can i just pull the head and get it from there? if i pull the head will i need a new gasket? if you could steer me in the right direction i would greatly like that. thanks

Same thing happened to me. I pulled the head and yes you need a new head gasket.

Re: Broke a header bolt...

30-40 for a gasket and 40 for a new set of bolts.

Re: Broke a header bolt...

Could you possibly take pictures of it? There is nothing sticking out of the bolt hole? (i.e. you can't get vicegrips or anything on there to back it out?)

I stripped the bolt hole on my last one when I did my Jet-Hots... I had to drill the hole, tap it and put in a helicoil, and then bolt it back up... worked like a charm.
