Get the 1" threads, more grabbing power espeicaly if you have thick header flanges. As for the price, stainless steel obviously wont rust and have a chrome type finish (look pretty sweet) and the chromoly, are just as strong, if not stronger, but black. I belive, someone correct me if im wrong, but definitly go with the 1" bolts.

Re: breslin locking header bolts

I used Breslins and all I can say is they were WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY! It was a whole hell of alot easier to tighten than the 7/16 6 point header bolts Jet-Hot gave me. I used the stainless so they would not rust.....the Jet-hots were rusted BAD after a couple months.

Re: breslin locking header bolts

Just make sure you check them occasionally. I had a couple come loose after a year of not checking them.

i hear they are hard to adjust and jethots/hookers header design make them not work to well

Word on my block says that some of the locking clips dont fit on certain headers therefore making them somewhat useless.

Re: breslin locking header bolts

Will Breslin locking header bolts work on Jet Hot headers? I want to get the 1" threads, I don't hear many good things with Stage 8. I see too many Breslin bolts on Summit, can someone link me or give me a part number for exactly the bolts I'll need?

Re: breslin locking header bolts

I have Jet-Hots and Stage 8s. If I were to do this again, I would DEFINETELY get Breslin bolts. I just retightened mine for the 3rd time since the header install and not only they are hard to work on, (I hate those damn clips) but you have to modify some of those clips for them to fit and you are somewhat restricted to how tight you can get the bolts in. (the bolts have to be in a certain position for the clip to fit on them and sometimes you have to loosen them in order for it to work)
