breaking up ???

I have a 95 Lt1, and when ever I take off it will kind of break up, and like when I shift into higher gears it will break up even at like wot....I have a new opti, ICM, msd coil, and rs strause wires...

It sounds like and ignition problem, however I can't trace it down, can anyone please give me some suggestions of wut I can check and How I would do so

thankyou

Re: breaking up ???

I assume:

1) You changed plugs.
2) You checked all the connections from all IGN components all the way to the PCM.
3) You made sure ALL the wires were routed correctly and not cut or burned.
4) You have the same problem you had before.
5) You already scanned it for codes that don't set the SES.
6) Based on the way you described it, sounds like you have a problem under load. Not at idle or under light cruising down the highway.

Usually electrical problems aren't just under load. Noticed I said usually. They tend to be good or bad and many are heat related. Components breaking down once they heat up if they aren't bad already when they are cold. There are the corrosion type problems that are intermittent as well as bad connections and can happen anytime. That, you would expect to be more random than what you experience.

There is at least one exception to the load issue I said above. That is, things moving around. One example is a post about someone having a similar issue to yours where the battery was moving around and shorting out temporarily when they got on the throttle. In that regard, check the battery hold down to see if it's broke like everyone elses is. While your there, look for tell tail burn spots behind the battery. You have to buy the coolant overflow tank to fix the battery hold down since glue doesn't work.

BUT with all that BS having been said, I think your problem is fuel related. I say that because you did replace all the ignition components and (see assumptions above) you still have the same problem and most electrical issues are not under load. The next step I would take is to monitor fuel pressure during the incidents with a fuel pressure gage mounted to the windshield. If that doesn't show anything perculiar, change the fuel filter, check the tank vent and have the injectors cleaned.

Boring sundays are bad, I just bable all day sorry.

There's the coil and ignition module to check.

Re: breaking up ???

It' also idles rough, theres a new fuel pump and filter, and I also put a few bottles of injector cleaner in the gas

I scanned it and usually there is a code for lean o2's, at the time I was scanning it, the o2's were only reading like 65 ont the left and 100 on the right...
also sometimes when I'm driving it will just like jump and then go back to normal

Another vote for checking your fuel system. Mount a fuel pressure gauge to the schrader valve and check your pressure at both idle and while running. You can temporarily tape the gauge to your windshield for a test run. Stock fuel pressure should be about 43 psi at WOT and 36 at idle with the vacuum line to the FPR on.

A tech told me that I should check the maf sensor and tps, how does this soulnd to you guys...

also please tell me of anyother ideas
