Break in is not a real issue with a roller cam motor. Still I would let it sit at a high idle (1500RPM) for about 10 min to get fluids going and oil everywhere. Then I would change the oil and filter. (Optional)

After that it's your choice, I know many people that do nothing past that, I will drive it semi easy for about 500 miles (under 4500 to 5000 RPM), change the oil and drive it like you stole it.

I'm sure you will get a lot of different answers.

I would drive it really easy (under 3,500 RPM or so) for the first 500 miles. Then change oil and filter. Then drive it a little harder (still under 4,500 RPM or so) until 1500 miles. Change oil and filter. Then it's good to go. Also, just in case you didn't know don't put any synthetic oil in the car until that 1500 mile mark.

I allways drive close to home up to operating temp then pull over at the house and see if there are any leaks etc, then I just drive around. My uncle allways told me to drive it like you own it, but I allways give it some 1/2 to 3/4 throttle acceleration runs to help seat the rings persay (going from 30 or so to 60 and let it slow back down) this always seems to seat the rings pretty quick on about everything Ive had, the only exception was my present motor , it took a good 1500 miles for the rings to finally be seated, but I htink that had to do with it running a little rich.
But I dont press it hard for a good 500 miles.

Ask your engine builder...

Actually driving it for a few blocks, then changing the oil (to get the cam lube out of there), then driving a few hundred miles and changing it again is a very good idea.

On the other hand, I drove mine 100 miles, changed the oil, and put it on the track.

Just did mine a few months ago and asked all around. How I ended up doing it was..... I started it up and idled it for 10 minutes then turned it off and changed the oil. I then ran it under 3k and under 55mph for 500 miles. After that, changed oil agian and nailed it.

Make sure if your gonna use synthetics, not to use it in your engine until you have 3k on the motor. Guys will say to put it in from the get go but Redline oil themselves say not to use it in your engine until you have at least 3k on it.
