Break lines going to the rear of car...how many?
Break lines going to the rear of car...how many?
I am wanting to delete my ABS system up front (already doesn't work cause I removed my traction control). I know I can run a line into a T fitting for the front brakes, but on the rear brakes I am a little confused. I look at it and for what I can tell I have 2 brake lines that go to the rear of the car. I have asked numerous people and seen some things online that say thier is only one brake line the goes to the rear and it T's off into 2 lines at the back. Did it change in certain years or am I crazy and I only have 1 line?
Lets say I do have 2 lines going back.......would it be safe to run a line off the master cylinder into a T and then connect the 2 lines going to the rear into that T? Sorry for the long post, just had somethings on my mind I was wondering if some of ya could answer. Thanks!

Traction controlled cars have four independent brake lines. Non traction control equipped cars had only one brake line leading to the back that was T'd to each rear brake caliper. Yes you can join the 2 rear lines with a T connection.
