brakes not working fully?

I smashed the brake pedal to the ground while doing 30 or less, and my brakes didnt lock up... tired at 60 same thing... this was on wet ground too :P

i know abs is suppose to make it so it doesnt lock up, but u can feel the abs on the pedal... this i didnt feel at all...

also i gotta pull my ebrake pretty much all the way up for it to just work...

maybe air in the lines?? think i need to bleed them?

but the ebrake works on spring so...

what u all think?

with good brakes (pad/rotor) on dry surface your wheels should lock up... with abs right after u hear them squel, u will feel the abs causing the pedal to be very bumpy... ABS light will not come on (that is a ABS INOParable light) but low traction light will come on...

my 98 always braked hard, and felt the abs come on... thats why i'm asking...

just doesnt feel right

Your 98 had way better brakes.... i upgraded my brakes to 98+ style brakes and I can skirt the tires by punching the brakes -or- the gas now

Bleeding the brakes out should help some. It only take about 10 minutes once you get the wheels off the car and the cost is about $5 for the brake fluid. While you have the wheels off, check the pads and rotors. Make sure the pads are rubbing both sides of the rotors. If the caliper is messup up, it can make it so only one pad rubs the rotor when braking.
