Brakes making Clank sound?

I hear a clanking sound when i drive and it gets quicker as the car goes faster when i lightly step on the brakes it stops. As soon as i let off the brakes it comes back. Does this mean i need new pads? It sounds like a rattling/clanking noise.

Sounds like the clips that hold the pads tight against the calipers are missing or bent. As a result, the pads are slapping around when not beeing clamped during stopping. Be sure you get the right pads. I just installed premium Wagner's on the wifes Durango and they are the S@#$.
