Brake Pads

The brakes in my car dont seem to work, so I'm getting new brake pads for it. The GM dealer down the road for me wants $140 for the front pads and $98 for the rear. I found on a couple sites Hawk brake pads for around $50 each set. How are these pads??

I've heard nothing but good about hawk pads. I think I'm gonna try them when I do my brakes in a few weeks. Also I've hear that performance friction brakes from autozone rock. Something about a lifetime warranty and when you wear them out you can get a new set for free. Might be worth checking out if you have an autozone near you.

Definitely don't pay the dealer that much for some pads, that's ridiculous........ by the way, do you still have the part numbers for the brakes they quoted you on?? I'd like to look them up if you still have the part number.
