brake light stuck on...

my brake light has been stuck on for a year now... well i just finished installing my tranny and i took apart the interior, is their a sensor i could replace to see if it fixes it?

Could be the E brake. Under the console there is a switch that activates when the e brake is pulled up. Mine got dirty and caused
it to stay on, worth a shot.

is it that little sensor at the front of the e-brake? thiers also one at the back of it.
