Bouncing off the rev limiter?
Took the car to the track last night and got dissappointed. It seems like it keeps bouncing off the rev limiter between each shift. It sort of a crackling noise I guess and the car putzes. Sometimes real bad and sometimes minimal but did it on every run. Could my shift points be too high? It is revving all the way up to around 6500 or so. Not sure of the exact #. Here are the crap times. The first one was the worst by far, it did it REAL bad. So bad I ran it one more time and if it did it like that again I was going home.
14.1 @ 100.69
13.915 @ 102.9
13.957 @ 102.52
13.724 @ 105.1
13.950 @ 102.84
Even the half way decent run made the noise. The car has the same setup as the last time I went to the track. It did do it a couple times that trip out but not like this. My worst times last time were 13.7s @ 105

Have you had a tune since your cam install? Have you even done any kind of tunning to the car? I'm sure you could be hitting the stock rev limiter if you haven't touched it. You could also be getting a high end miss. I would check all your plugs and wires to make sure they're working right.
I ahve PCM4Less tuning.
I guess it could be a miss too. I know my plugs are black and fouled pretty good from an incident last year but I have been running them for a while. Could that do it? I am going to pick up new plugs today and I will check the wires when I change them next weekend.
A high end miss seems a little more plausible now that you say it. Thanks.
