bosch plugs ?
bosch plugs ?
tryed a surch but the only this i found was not to use them . i've been having a miss issue so i pulled one of the plugs and behold it looked like the carbon track was running right down the porcolin to the base . i think thats the issue so i'm gonna replace with acdelcos . Has any one else run it this issue ? it's a stock internal lt1 motor .
Bosch plugs are notorious for fouling easy if the tune is just slightly off. AC Delco platniums have worked well. My favorite are NGK Irridiums, a little expensive but I have been very impressed withy their durability under a wide range of tuning issues I've had in the past.
i'm not sure if acdelco fixed that or not . it's just weird that i put a new set of plugs in and less than 20,000 a couple of them are causing me to have a weird missfire . it isnt detecte by the computer either . it's a 1996 . i think it's creating a spark just not in the right place in the cylinder .
Those TR55-IX Iridiums sure ain't cheap at 7$ per plug

On the other hand in re copper ones, depends on whether it's a DD or not. I.e, if you don't plan on putting lots of miles on it in a year, the coppers supposedly conduct better and are certainly less expensive. So even if it is a real PIA to change them, it might be worth it to change them every couple years anyway, just to make you aware of any other little things going on down there, e.g., loose bolts, etc.
yah , it's a dd . i decided to go with the delco ones , just cause they were more avalible . i'll see how long they last . maybe i'll post some pis of how the bosch ones look to . just dont get why they arked like they did ?
i have platinum 4's in my 96 m6 and no noticable problem, and im really not a fan of bosch.and just a question, wouldnt the platinum 4's last about 3 times longer than regular plugs with only one elctrode?
I tried the Bosch +4s and none of them hit on every electrode.. Just 2 electrodes from want I saw... And as far as performance, no difference..Same with fuel mileage...
