Borla Installed
I finalay managed to get my Borla Cat back installed. The old pipe gave me TONS of problems gettign off. I tried to use a hack saw, but with a dull blade, it was no go. I finlay maged to twis it enough so that it broke off. I was concerned with the rear of the drive shaft being so closed, but after a drive I did not hear it hiting anything.
It has a nice low rumble and its not raspy at all.

Cool, I like the Borla sound on a stockish LT1 too. Just make sure you keep cats on because it will get very raspy if you don't. I don't like it with a lopey cam either.

I made the mistake of taking of the cat on my RX-7 (sounds not comparable), and the extra sound and shrpaer tone was not worth it. Dotn want to take a chance with this one. I also noticed that the previous owner that installed the Edelbrock TES, had the cat welded to the Y-Pipe.
i had the closed plate on mine when i got it installed and it sounded nice, a bit quiet though but i liked it until i took the plates out and whoa it sounded a LOT better. havnt had the plates in since. i did notice the low rpm power was there with the plate on and not so much with it off, but theres much more high rpm power with it off.

Looks to me like you still have step 2 to complete.

That way I'll host a few clips of how it sounds. POS sound recorder tool. Its weird cus when I tested it first, it was clear, now it gets all static.
