Why not get a single in/single out muffler? Then just have a Y pipe on the exit side, one pipe for each side.

Or, do what I did and have the Y pipe before the muffler so you have one side open, one side muffled. Quiet at idle and moderate RPM's, LOUD at WOT.

I guess, But I really wanted a single in dual out muffler becuase I already have single in single out that I dont like and I wanna borla. But why does the new borla pro xs muffler have a center inlet on one side and a dual outlet on the other side, its just plain stupid.

this seems like a muffler for a chevy truck or something where the muffler will be turned straight so the y pipe goes to the single in and the two exits go to the tips giving the dual look.... See if they make on that has inlet outlet on the same side...

It's not designed specifically for Fbodies, that's why.

Either get a different muffler, or pay out the *** to have a custom bent pipe so you'll have dual outlets on either side.

Catback

Your best bet would be the catback, of course, but I'm sure cost is the reason for the muffler. The catback is a single-inlet, single-outlet with one pipe coming off the primary before the muffler and going out the passenger side. With the "fully open" tuning plate, you're really not using the muffler at all. You could always consider running a two-on-the-left setup. I don't know if there would be room, but coming back over to the passenger side from the driver's side muffler outlet would be impossible. There's just not enough room. You would be able to see the pipe from behind the car. I got my Borla catback for $250 bucks, used. It was in nearly-new condition, so be patient and keep checking the "for sale" section for good deals. Good luck.
