Hey that sounds just like mine. I have the headers and cam though, but sounds about the same I would say. I would definitely run it with the biggest hole adapter plate at the back end.

 

question: borla pipe w/catback does the Y pipe make the car sound diffrent they odnt make Y pipes for 1996

 

i would hold off on the y pipe until you do headers. and the y pipe does make the car sound different. depends if its a catted y or a off road y

 

im not getting headers but i wanna know if it will sound good with just catback i want it to sound the same as the one in the video ^^

 

or do you have any other suggestions on other exaust were i could get H Y Or X pipe and catback? wats the websites i want it to still sound like the video ^^^

 

i have a 96 and the Y pipe for borla wont fit ^^^^ RE:^^

 

im almost possitive that borla discontinued there catted y pipe set up. you can get one custom made to fit your manifolds, and weld in high flow cats. but it would make more sense to do headers and full exhuast, wouldnt it? you would gain more power, it would sound better, and the car would be happy that it can breathe. you dont have to do longtubes. do shorties. and get the catted y for the brand headers you get.

 

if you have headers with borla, keep the cat in there, otherwise it will sound like *** without any plates

 

hehe Thats my car im selling that Borla Ypipe with cat if needed! at WOT the Ypipe does make it sound a bit different

Thunderracing sells the Borla Ypipe, but it's only for Single Cat cars...(93-95)

 

are there any other pipes i could get that sound really good n loud that i could by an h or y pipe ??

 

H-pipes dont work on our cars unless you install longtube headers...there really isnt any aftermarket Ypipes for the 96-97 dual cat cars which i have seen that work with stock exhaust manifolds.. Do you have the Borla Catback yet? I would try gettting the cat back first with or without the ypipe is sounds the same pretty much
