Borla band clamps

I was wondering do the flat band type clamps that come with borla cat-backs wear out? I've adjusted my borla cat-back many times and I can never seem to get it right. I have been reusing the clamps and I'm starting to wonder if they are stretched out and not clamping down anymore. Do these things wear out? And does anyone know where a good place is to purchase some new ones?

Thanks

Dan

What is this band clamp holding on?? Sorry I'm not familiar with the borla, but if it's hold a joint where the pipes come together why not weld it?

Hard to say Dan.

Was the exhaust "right" when it was new? Anything production made is going to vary a bit from one to the other... so it may just be a system that had a few "bad" bends in it that somehow made it through QC.

As for band clamps. I just bought some from Stainless Works here a while back. I didn't really do much shopping around so you may very well find a better deal.

Good luck.

Yeah I think that is my problem. No matter what I do it ALWAYS rubs somewhere and keeps hitting the driveshaft on really hard bumps or braking. I don't want it welded because if it's not done right it can't be re adjusted. Anyone ever use borla's "million mile warrenty" for a system that isn't bent 100% to factory specs?

Thanks for the help

Dan
