if got that exact same exhaust, sounds awesome, but a lot of people dont like the rappy rap it makes, even with a block off plate(they're adjustable) it still pops when you rev the engine. I would rather spend the money on some headers and somehting else, IMO, but, dont get me wrong, it is cool sounding exhaust, If you want, I can send you a video of my car going down the track

The Borla is pretty sweet. I made my own plate, and reduced popping significantly. The popping (most of it) goes away anyway after the engine/pipes are at operating temperature.

I'd take Borla over LM any day of the week. You think popping is bad with a Borla? Whew.

they're really that much different?

As for adjusting the plates for the sound, I never bothered, i think it sounds just awsome with no plates in there. For headers and a Borla cat-back, its a big can of worms you can open by talking about this. By far, the consencious is that there is an undesirable "rasppy" sound when using long tubes with a Borla cat-back. This rasp can be minimized by keeping your cats in the system or by putting bullet style mufflers in their place. Keep in mind this rasp is a subjective thing, you may not mind it.

With long tube headers, you will need a new Y-pipe. However, some headers can be purchased with the Y-pipe included. Though an exhaust shop will have no problem fabricating their own Ypipe.

considerinig the fact they don't have dummy dual exhaust on the mustangs, and i haven't looked at car parts in about 2 years, yes.

i have a lt1 with borla/longtubes/no cats,,its deffinately raspy as hell, but i like it, the rasp makes it sound mean in my opinion,,my buddy has a ls1 with longtubes/nocats/gmmg and its not loud at all, sounds very good, but isn't loud,,mine is almost too loud.

I have a borla..it's good stuff. However, I wouldn't spend $800 on one...I bought mine off the for-sale board here for about $320..and it was in almost new condition as well..bonus!
