bored TB's...any imput?

found these TB's for sale on ebay and was wondering if anyone has purchased from this seller?

$160 without a core charge is a pretty good deal if the quality and work is good.

i'm looking for some under $200 mods that i can ask for as presents from family.

funny part in the add...check it out:
"· 15-20 hp on a stock motor

· 50-100hp w/ cam and mild head work - i.e. valves & hand port

· 100hp+ on hot 383ci and larger motors
"

i'm hoping he means those increaes include the increase from the other parts...not just the TB....

I'm locked out of E-Bay, so I will just say this.

Stock 48 just fine for mostly stock engine.
52 won't hurt with heads and cam.

58 probably good idea with big power inclu Cubes, Boost, Juice, etc.,

52s usually bored out stockers, but 54s 58s etc, usually new.

AS&M sells modded 48/52s with your core. Can't remember how much, but the product is pretty good. For the bucks consider a CAI instead.

Also, yes the increases are with the mods. The larger TBS only help feed the increased demands of air flow in excess of 650 CFM thereabouts. JMHO

Cool

Those HP numbers are pretty trumped up. Expect 5-10 hp. The main gain i've found is throttle response, which is very impressive.

Ours are $150 plus your old core, free shipping, 30 day exchange guarantee, 14 day money back guarantee. There isn't any fancy bearing, and I honestly don't know WTF thats for. I have yet to find one with a "worn" shaft since there isn't any pressure on it to begin with.

Of his 41 feedback that were positive or neutral by registered users he was the seller on only 14, so take it as you may

If it made a 15-20 hp gain on a stock motor then why wouldn't that have been the size of the stocker?
