All you guys who have put headers on how many have snaped off the exaust manifold bolts that go in to the aluminum heads ? Is there a fix other than pull the heads ?
I am thinking about putting headers on yhis winter ?

 

No bolts should break off. Actually the came out very easy! Use some good penetrating oil a few days before you remove the bolts. Let the engine go through a few heat cycles, douche them again the night before and they'll almost fall out!! Good luck!

 

pblast everything very good when you get home from work the night before.

pblast it again before bed

pblast it when you start working on it in the morning, you'll almost be able to take them out with your fingers.
