Bolton+ Hotcam times from today

Took my formula to the local track (Infineon Raceway/Sears Point) for some fun today.

The car is Pacesetter LT's and ORY, Corsa, CSI WP, free mods and a tune from Madwolf, LT4 cam (stock rockers) stock suspension& tires. 6 speed (McLeod single disk) and 3.23 gear

I only managed 2 runs, the first was just a shakedown so I had a dismal 60' time. I need some better tires, gears and suspension, and I will get that damn 12 sec slip. Oh yea, I had my 80 lb sears floor jack in the back too

60' 2.40 2.27

E.T. 13.49 13.46

MPH 108.01 107.33

I'm pretty happy with it. Most stockish LS1 cars were running 13.6-13.5, and most msutangs except for blown ones were in the 14's and 15's.

Nice MPH. What part of the bay are you from? How do you get away with longtubes? Sacramento Raceway really isn't that much farther away and its much more laid back. Just a suggestion.

Sears Pt is only 10 miles from me, so thats nice to know that if my glass rear end breaks....the tow bill will be reasonable lol.

I keep the car registered out of state, so no smog for me

I would like to now where you're going to get it smogged at?

I had troulbe with shorties and a tune. Nox was a little high, but he was able to get it to pass.

You got the mph to be in the 12s .

What about just putting some DR on it?

Not sure if that question was directed at me or not, but I have yet to get my new setup smogged. Not really sure if it will pass or not.

I hear ya on the crappy rear ends. I've got the AAA 100 mile tow card so I guess I can be a little more brave than most about venturing away from home.

Re: Bolton+ Hotcam times from today

really cool dude

looks like there are alot of us from the bay (im in concord), i was at sears a few weeks ago, ran 13.4@103 1.97 60', crap spinning 60 foot and no powershifting with my subs in the back. she has lts back exhaust and a cai, i was on nitto 555rs for that run - I didn't launch hard because i too fear the rear. it's a green camaro without badges, loud as ****.

i usually go to sacramento though. I get 7 or 8 runs usually, compared to the 3 i got last time at sears point.

you usually get in more runs at Sac, I've also for some reason seen people run better times at Sac...dunno why.

Re: Bolton+ Hotcam times from today

All I can think is that it's gonna be really hot at sac.

I was kinda bummed today only getting 2 runs.

The first one took forever, then I swapped rims/tires with someone (sold my old ones). By that time the bracket racing had started, and a hardcore old school charger sent me packing lol. I just really wanted the time slip anyway.

I blame the headwind at sears point (it's famous for it) and the temperature always seems cooler in sac.

Re: Bolton+ Hotcam times from today

Those times are not too bad. Back when my car had a Hotcam and shortie headers it would run 108mph with the stock 3.23's. It is an auto and I had a PI 2,800 converter with drag radials so it would 60' in the 1.7's and run 12.50's@108mph. Youre car is definately capable of running lower 12's with gears, tires and some practice. Later Clint

I got my car to 12.28 @ 110 on the motor with a hotcam, but I had the rockers and bigger valves in my heads.

Re: Bolton+ Hotcam times from today

def 12 sec times - im impressed with only boltons and the hotcam. your 60' is def the problem... then again stand a good chance of blowing the rear if you hook up hard.

i ran a 12.22 @ 118 with my cam - just curious what your 60' was? assuming you were on slicks.
