boiling water sound

When I got home from driving my camaro I could hear what sounds like boiling water. It sounds like it was coming from my radiator, and I only heard it after I turned the car off. What could be causing this?

Have you checked for any spot on your radiator that are not warm, it may be a dirty or clogged radiator. Is it over heating by any chance? As well maybe your thermostat isnt opening all the way restricting the flow. Im not an expert but these are things Ive seen cause issues.

Well it drives fine and is not overheating. How would I check my radiator cap?

with a known good radiator cap on my car, with the car completely cooled off, you should be able to squeeze either of the main radiator hoses quite easily, after starting and maybe as little as five minutes later, they feel dam near hard as a rock...

Or you could get a pressure tester, and test the cap...

or

you could just replace the cap, it'll cost you all of about 6 bucks for a good one, probably needs it anyway, more than likely original

If it boils over into the overflow when you shut off the engine it's the cap. They're like $4.

My little Ranger recently did this. I changed the cap and it still did it. Started overheating in stop and go traffic and bubbling back up into the overflow tank. Turns out there was a clog in the radiator and it needed to be replaced. Try the cap, but if it continues be ready to buy a new radiator.
