Bog/Dead Spot off Idle

Modifications in sig. Car is an M6. When I come to a stop, and just take off normally, the car bogs down for a quick second then moves forward. When in that bog for the moment, if you accelerate more, it almost feels as if you werent giving it more throttle. The only thing is does, is speed up the duration of the time it takes for the bog to go away. Now if I rev the car higher off if idle, it wont bog. Can this be a characteristic of the camshaft? I have datamaster, freescan, lt1 edit, and a wideband in the car. What should I look for?

Re: Bog/Dead Spot off Idle

I had that exact problem once when my Idle air soloniod got gouped up. A bad bog/stumble directly off idle.

It was actually my fault somewhat. I had decided to clean the TB without removing it and sprayed it with gumout. The gumout disolved the gunk and it all settled in the IAS cavity.

The solution was to take the TB apart and clean it properly. I see you have a BBK TB. I'm not sure if your problem could be similar?

hmm...The opti is brand new, the TB is brand new, and so is the IAC. My counts at idle are in the 40's...
