....Hi Everyone, I have a '94 LT1 engine & auto trans with 158 K on it that's blown up. I think it's a broken ring. Is the motor & trans worth any money??? Or should I just junk it??? Thanks for any replys, Bill

 

Take it apart and see what's salvageable. Don't throw away the block and crank if they can be used again. If you do the LT1 gods will hunt you down, and it won't be pretty.

 

I recently got about $175 for a dissassembled block, crank, rods, and pistons. It's worth something if it can be re-used

 

Salvage as much as possible. Everything on it can't be blown. What is reusable is worth some money. How much? That depends on what it is.

The heads and intake alone can fetch a modest amount of change assuming they are in good shape as well as some of the accessories.

 

Its all worth core value if its any good

 

Someone could always use the block and heads at least.
