Blown headgasket or intake gasket?

I was wondering if there was a method to determine which head gasket was bad passenger or driver? Maybe through a compression test of some sort.

pull the plugs and see which holes dump coolant.

yeah a leak down test would work great if he has the tools. or he could just take all the plugs out and have some one crank the engine while he looks and sees what holes shoot coolant out. then he wont have to have any special tools.

thanks for the input so fast fellas, my coolant light came on recently and its not dropping coolant anywhere and it will over heat every so often so i have been pouring coolant in the almost every other day for the last week. Now i can even tell me exhaust smells sweet so i guess my gasket went bad.

i would personally change both head gaskets regardless if you know if one is bad or not, your going to have to take the intake off cross tube on the back of the heads already anyway, just take the time to do them both.
