well i know now the miss in my engine. that i have ben trying fix
since the motor was new 4k ago .my car started runinng warmer than
normal.but i found my cooling system was holding 40 psi .but their
was no water in the oil .well i got to pull the heads now but i am
thinking of putting a bigger cam in like comp 306.
what do you guys think.

 

I think you'd be happier with a 503 or a custom grind with more agressive lobes than the 306 has.


If it were me, I'd have the heads ported while they're off and really make the most of the cam install
At the very least, make sure they are cleaned and checked for cracks/warping before you reinstall.
You don't want to have to do it all over again next weekend.
