I blew my rear and I am looking to upgrade. The only rear ends I have seen are Moser (SLP). Anyone have a website with decently priced rear ends? Should I just re-build my 10 bolt? How long would that hold. I'm only pushin 330HP, looking to bulk it up to 400-500HP in the future.

What about a 8 1/2" 10 bolt? Would that be cheaper than the 12 bolt?

once again, 550 HP and 700 TQ do not kill 10 bolts. People do :P

If you don't launch hard, stay away from DRs and a hard clutch, it will last a long time.

If you do 6k drops on slicks with a stage 3 clutch it will last a long time too.

10 bolts are so tempermental its unbelievable. I have 120k on mine with 30k of hard launches with DRs. and a very abusive last owner. and mine has no problems yet. knock on wood....

If you can afford the money, buy the 12 bolt. I have always tried to buy the best while i can, because even if after awhile you want to sell it, you can get somewhat what you paid for it. a 10 bolt you will get nothing out of it except another broken 10 bolt.

 

If you have the money then invest in a 12-bolt. I would look in the for sale section for some used ones. Strange and Moser both make quality stuff.

 

I really can't afford to blow $2K on a rear, that's the problem. How much would I spend on a 8 1/2" 10 bolt and where can I find one?
