Blew a fuse while scanning it??

Hey guys i got my car scanned yesterday cause the coolant sensor was on and after that was done the car wouldnt start at all. My first thing was that the starter was shot but i just replaced the starter and alternator last year. So i checked my fuses and replaced them and the car started up 1,2,3. Anyone know what would cause this? The idiot that had this car before me had a homemade alarm on it, cause i can see the little homemade led light. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
dustin

Hard to say, if you have some odd stuff wired in to the car. What year is it?

If it was the low coolant light, next time you can save yourself the trouble of scanning it. The low coolant sensor is not monitored by the pcm and therefore will not throw any codes.

It was a free scan at autozone and i also wanted to see if the check engine light would come up on the scan. I just unplugged that stupid sensor. When i took it to get originally inspected at the dealership they told me its probably the starter what a bunch if idiots! Anyways, would this have to do with the computer at all or do you think just that old wiring will cause this. When it gets warmer over here i wanna follow all that old wiring and get rid of it!
