Bleeding Coolant w/o two bleed screws.
Bleeding Coolant w/o two bleed screws.
Ok I was just sitting around lastnight thinking about how to bleed the coolant with out the two bleed ports. I removed the heater core and will not be running the lines that have the ports. So my question is how do you bleed it once these lines are removed? If anyone is wondering why I did this the car is pretty much going to be a track car only so I removed everything I wouldnt need.
Re: Bleeding Coolant w/o two bleed screws.
Don't you still have the bleed screw on the neck of the thermostat housing?
If not, the only other place I can think of to bleed the system would be at the radiator filler... maybe park on a steep incline and let the air work its way to the top...
I'm sure somebody will have a better plan...

Re: Bleeding Coolant w/o two bleed screws.
The one bleeder screw will work fine.
The other one was to bleed air out of the heater hose lines and since you don,t have them anymore the thermostat one will work fine.
I just did the same thing and many run the LT1 without the HVAC so its not a big deal.
