I took apart me opti and the rotor end is black ? is that normal and underneath where it was setting on the deal its red and smells like moisture to me, ive got the autozone replacement, i was thinking if its bad im going to take it back and get one from Dal . And how do i take the white thing off to see inside the opti?

 

Got the white deal off, on the opti theres this red stuff all over and some are in the holes that the optical deal reads? Dont think that was helping me out any!

 

Red stuff is probably rust from the bearing. Better replace the whole thing. Most people do.

 

this is liquid though, actually its looking like soda thats exploded in the ice box its just thick read streaks all over?
