I have the Bilstein SLP take offs and Eibach Pros. They work great. The only thing you may want to consider is getting the relocation brackets for the lower control arms. I ran mine without the relocation brackets for about a year, then got the BMR brackets and that did hlep with traction.

Which Eibach springs are you getting? I recommend the Pro kit. They lower the car about 1.5". The Sportlines lower about 2". Even with the Pro kit I have to be careful about scraping. Also, if you are planning on longtube headers, you may want to think again about lowering your car. A buddy of mine has Hooker LT's and has about 2 - 3" of clearance. I have SLP Shorties and a TByrne Y-pipe which give better clearance. Fortunately for me, the drive shaft loop is my low point.

I don't see how shocks have anything to do with ride height... doesn't that depend on the springs alone??? The spring is the main suspension component, the shock is there just to control spring oscillation.

I just want to get this right. The Bilstein HD's will work fine with the Eibach Pro Kit? Just need to make sure. I bought a set of Gabriel shocks (I know, but didn't have alot of money at the time) and was told that they have plenty of travel for the lowering of the car 1.5 - 1.75 ". Well, that must have been horse sh## because now I have a leaking front, after already blowing one out, and alot of wierd noises that the mech. attributed to the shocks not having the proper valving to handle the Eibachs. If the HD's will give me what I need, without having to pay for a revalve job, great. Once again, just checking to verify this.

Hey 93.....how low did your sportlines take your car? they advertize a 2" drop, is that how much you saw? My pro kit took mine down almost 2 inches and I think that is what is giving me fits with shocks. Just talked to Strano, told me to contact Eibach, then called Eibach to inquire about my springs. Was told that the springs may lower any car +/- 1/2 an inch. That's a big + or -! If yours is down 2" and your not having any probs with your shocks, guess I'll get a pair from Strano.

My Sportline's only dropped my Z a little under 2" - but i only have maybe 1500km's on them so they may 'sit' a little more. I had the Pro-kit before and they only dropped my Z about 1.25". That is why i went with the Sprotline's, to go lower. Maybe you got the Sportline's packaged in the wrong box?? I think they my set-up now works great for me, i have been over a couple pretty deep dips and have not bottomed out - the HD's rebound and control the spring very well. However i do also attribute my added handling to my more than -1 camber & +4-5 caster alignment - i highly recommend this if your into carving corners.

Exactly. A local shop will align to whatever settings I give them, and that was what I was going to go for, until I started having this prob. No use getting an alignment only to rip the shocks out again and start from anew.
Thanks man.

My HD's seem to handle my Eibachs very well.

What do you call very well??

My decarbon "seem" to handle them too but... when the hard times come you feel you need more shock

By very well i mean no bottoming out and very little 'spongy' or floating feel in the rear in hard cornering and much less lean as well - compared to the stock DeCarbon's. I am not saying they are the best shock, but for the money and my use, they work 'very well'.

I guess it's different things to different folks and also depends on how you use the car.

I'm very happy with my Eiback Pro and Bilstein HD's - most people who get to ride in my car complament the handelling as compared to their F-Body and when the time comes for the shocks to be replaced I'd replace them with the same.

Would other shocks work better - who knows, few of us have put the miles on our cars where we actually have gone through several sets of different shock/springs combo's.

If I had to do it all again - i'd likely go adjustable coil overs so I can fine tune the ride hight.
