Better buy 97 lt-1 50k 99 ls-1 100k same price

Question Better buy 97 lt-1 50k 99 ls-1 100k same price

Same price 8 grand better buy 50,000 miles on the lt-1 or 100,000 miles on the ls-1, condition the same all stock.
Well what you guys think woild be the better buy???

the LS1 would prolly still be more reliable, even with the extra mileage.

Do you plan to keep it a long time? If so, I'd definately take the low mile 97 if condition is really the same. With 50k it should have a lot of trouble free miles left. I'm preferential to LT1's, their sound and torquey feel, and their body style, though. If either one has any rust, take the other. End-of-life for a keeper car is determined by the body, not the powertrain, so I rank body condition as highest priority. If you plan to mod the engine and power per dollar is a big priority, well, the LS1 is ahead there.

Depends what you want to do with the car. If it was me I would go with the LS1, 100K is nothing for a new car these days.
