Best way to detect exhaust leak.

What is the best way to detect if you have an exhaust leak at the header flange?
I need to know why my o2 sensor is reading rich and it is driving me nuts!
Thanks.

Usually you'll find soot around where the leak is. Another way I've done it is to start the car when it's cold and feel around for the leak in the suspected area before it gets too hot to the touch.

I heard that you can use a little piece of hose and move it around the manifold and have the other end to your ear.
