best way to clean injectors?

best way to clean injectors?

I have the fuel rail off and apart on my 97Z and want to know best way to clean the injectors before I reinstall them and where can you get new o rongs and should you lube them during reinstall?

There is no proper way of cleaning injectors without rebuilding them. (and you cannot do that at home)

What you can do though is use some carb cleaner and spray/clean them well if they have dirt/oil/grease on them.

You can buy new o-rings from NAPA by the piece. Lee Auto Parts also has them. Autozone I beleive only sells them in gasket kits.

Before you install the injectors, it is recommended that you lube the o-rings with oil just a little bit so that they go in smooth without any damage.

Don't know about the cleaning part, but you can get the o-rings at the dealer or any auto parts store. My injectors came with a small tube of silicon to lube the seals with.
