Best way to clean fuel injectors?

Is this a complicated task? Do I need any special tools and how long does this usually take? Any advice you guys can give would be great. Thanks.

It would probably be best to send them somewhere to get a real good clean. Some local shops do it but they don't clean them the same way they clean them when you send them away.

I would forget the cleaning and get the new ones.. you can find them pretty cheap if you look.. or if you want to have them cleaned i suppose that would be good too... you dont have to disconnect your fuel line so thats good... unbolt your fuel rails and there is a pry point on them, just pop up and out come the injectors, dont forget to unplug them and the battery.. when you look at them youll know how to get them off.. i took mine off with some common hand tools.. take them to a shop and have them cleaned.. im sure you can find a place near you that does it, it helps if you act "cool" aroudn them so they dont f u over or do a halfass job... get new seals too...

I just cleaned the injectors on my opel. I used a mixture of half gas and half sea foam. I put the mixture (just enough to cover the injector) in a coffee can. made a set of wires about 5ft long with a push button switch ( the switch should be the kind that only passes current when depressed) in line to turn the power on and off ( the length of the wires is to ensure any possible sparking doesn't blow the mixture up in your face). connected the wires to the injector then to a 12V battery. Place the injector in the mixture and pulse the switch which will pulse the injector. short pulses so you won't damage the injector. If you watch the injector you will see it spray and notice a change in spray pressure as it cleans.

Happy cleaning!!
