Best Way to build up LT1 Heads

Ok, I am in the process of rebuilding my LT1 and I'm looking for the best combination for my heads. What I'm looking for is Roller Rockers, Valve Spring Size etc. I am porting and polishing my heads and I'm changing the cam to an Hot Cam. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Tuff.

Hmmm..... I'm not sure of the best parts but I can tell you what I've decided to use on my heads.

2.00x1.57 valves
The springs and roller rockers that come in the HOTcam kit.

Thanks for the reply. What's the biggest set of springs that you can use in the heads.

Thanks Again

No reason to run overly large springs for a Hotcam, it doesn't have much in the way of lift (.525" with 1.6).

You dont need larger valves

Honestly for what your doing, a good porting and polishing, intake and exhaust gasket match. Decking the head to increase compression (.030, which make syour CR 10.8 to 1). CC Pro Magnum, or Crane Gold Race RR (which i have), Comp Cam 987 dual coil springs with locks and retainers. Your good to go.

If youw ant larger valves go AFR. Cus flow wise larger valves give you more flow through out the cam lift range, but unless your pushing more hp, via displacement (383, 396...) or adding a blower, its not really needed.

Nu-tek does good work, check this out...

I'm still wondering on the the Hot Cam, I want streetability. I want to be able to drive it daily. Can this be done with a CC306 Cam? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to everyone that has replied so far.

cc 306 does NOT = Reliblity

cc306 is bearly a STREETABLE cam, people will say yea i know "X" amout of people driving around with a cc306 cam, but honestly its bearly tolerable cam, for street useage.

On the ohter hand LT4 hotcam is right up your alley. Get the chot cam, you wont be disappointed, I can assure you. You got power you got your vaccume accessoies, emmissions will be fine, and you you got driviablity.
