Best for torque increase?

Just wondering what is the best thing to increase the torque on my car? I know a cam would add a lot but I'm not in a position to do that at the moment. I've got MAC headers on the way (I'm hoping ) so other than that I'm open to any suggestions.
Thanks in advance.

Oh, also going to switch to the Hooker catback.

You want to feel more torque? Go with a set of 4:10 gears!

One idea I'm kicking around is getting a cam kit and throwing in the RR's and springs now, and putting the cam in later. All you would need to do is buy springs again.

Switching the catback will change the sound thats about it. Save your money and leave the flowmaster on there. If you want to actually gain some power get a cutout. Headers might net you a few more ft/lbs but nothing really noticible until you get a cam and heads and thats $$$.

If you want a real big difference in the way your car feels for not too much money go with the 4.10 gears (assuming you have an M6) or nitrous. If you have an A4, keep the 3.42s and buy a torque converter.

Car is an auto so I guess 4.10s are out. I'm not too crazy about nitrous. I like having something that's always there. Nitrous is for some folks and I'm fine with that. Whatever floats your boat I say! Torque converter sounds like the way to go.

Any stall suggestion and/or manufacturer. Car doesnt see the strip except for once in a blue moon.

Thanks

No you wouldn't. Why do you think that?

In my opinion, you could easily strain harden the springs and have them biased towards the current cam. Once you put the new cam in, with higher lift, there may be a nonlinear spring load anymore because the springs are only "broken in" to a certain lift.
