Best spring/shock combo for a street/strip car?

I'm currently running the pro-kit with factory shocks, but I'm intersted in changing to something that will help with launching at the track. I was thinking about going with the Hal QA1 shocks and springs, but I'm not sure how much they lower the car, etc. Anybody have any comments or reccomendations? I really want the car to squat good, but it is my daily driver so a strictly drag race shock is out of the question.

Was considering those same shocks for a buddy of mine. He has the same b4c car you have although it's an A4. He needs some traction also b/c of his new 383. He's also running the eibach's. I was thinking if I could get enough front end travel along with the rear squatting that i might be able to get his car down the track with a good amount of traction and be able to use the same spring.
Just considering and giving him some options b/c I believe he wants to dip down in the 12's.

The hals shouldnt lower the car at all. They have a height adjusment. I've got a front set with springs on order, partially for that reason...

The HAL'S are amazing. You are right, they have the front height adjustment. But the back i think sits a tiny tiny bit lower then stock. I had the sportlines prior with the stock shocks and i couldnt even put my fingers on top of the tire b/c of the wheel well

But 12 way adj., u cant beat that. Definetly great set-up for the track and street IMO..

I've got the Hal shocks all around, and the adjustable springs up front. The adjustability of the shocks is killer, and I lowered the front spring about an inch and it looks real nice. I want to lower the back one inch too, but I don't know what spring to choose because I don't want to hurt my launch too much. Does HAL make rear springs? What about the BMRs?

Hal does not make rear springs. Thats why most use the stockers. But u could add your own aftermarket springs in the rear, but be careful...some may lower it too much ya know? Some advertised drop, is lower then what it claims once u get it on your car... But then again, if it doesnt look right, u can just adjust the front

I think the Hal's are what I'll go with. Now, to find a rear spring to go with them.
