so both of you would suggest the callies kit over the eagle or scat? is there an advantage going with a 5.850 rod over a 6"? i see the 5.850's are a little more expensive. just wondering

I have a SCAT crank and I had a local guy build my motor. He did a fantastic job but if I had to do it over I would have just ordered a pre-built one from Nu-Tek to avoid the headaches.

I 3rd Nu-tek

Nu-tek ROCKS, except no less, they got everything you need, even if you want to do it yourself.

WHen you change rod size it has to do with oil control, that the pistion with the 5.XX length has more space with the rings and th floating wrist piston is moved. Its useually preferred over the 6" rod, but you will be fine with the 6".

I learned this when i went to a local shop with nu-tek's list and now the local guy told me all about why i should go with the 5.75 rod vs. the 6" ones. But otherwise everything is solid.
